Yeah, the first one sounded jumble when I reread it, anyways I will be going on a Hiatus. Recently I've been dealing with some in real life problems including family, myself, and school. Recently my grades have been slipping and I think to get them back up in this final stretch of the school year is to fully commit to them, and in doing so, I have to take a break from hometown. Overall, I thank all of you for helping me in the four years of my journey, and I especially thank all the staff for making hometown feel like home. I'll be coming on this weekend to sort some affairs, but after that I'll probably be gone until the end of may, or even june. This does not mean I'm giving up on hometown, just means I'm taking a hiatus. Now, in my current state of affairs i'll be leaving my builds, and sadly I can't take care of them. Why should you be unbanned: I have learned from my mistakes and from now on I'll listen to the staff and refrain from using any profanities.

Why do you want to come back: I want to play with my friends 

So I go through phases with video games. I get super invested into one specific game and dump all of my time into it for a few weeks. I know that a lot of my friends are the exact same way and so I'm assuming that it's not an unusual way to play. I find that once I get hooked on a game I focus on reaching a goal, whether it's beating the main storyline, reaching a new rank, earning new gear or whatever. The problem with singleplayer Minecraft, for me, is that Minecraft has no inherent goal. Sure you can get to the dragon but why? So you can stare at an egg? Pass. The focus of the game is to gather resources and build and that on it's own gets tiring after a bit which is why I turned to multiplayer because servers have systems that make you want to keep playing there. For the last few weeks I was hellbent on reaching Expert. That was my goal and my focus and now that I've got it I'm thinking "what do I do now?" The vote grind from 660 to 1000 is a pretty chubby challenge with nothing in between but days spent building, farming, and shitposting in chat. 

My idea is thus : On every 15th (or 10) time that you vote, so every 75 votes (or 50,) you get 15 slot tokens instead of 5. That way even if your next rank is far off and you fall into that "meh that's too far I'm not going to bother with voting" you have something more short term to look forward to and aim for. This would give people more of a reason to keep wanting to come back beyond earning top voter and VIP, since that's mad competitive and not a guarantee. 

I also think it'd be neat if there was a way to keep track of brownie points for players who are well behaved or helpful. Say staff sees you help out a new player by giving them diamonds or logs or just going above and beyond to be helpful when you don't have any reason to be. It'd be cool to keep track of those good apples and give them periodic rewards (cash, resources, beet seeds, etc.) kind of like the good behavior bonus in GTA V. 

To summarize my point I think small rewards to encourage voting or good behavior would help with player engagement as well as player retention. That is all, I'll expect my phone interview for Elite by weeks end.

Why should you be unbanned:
There was no warning, other than the signs posted on the far side of the chest. Now I know that the "font" is a piss-poor excuse for taking from another's chest, and it will not happen again. I just got greedy and stole, and I will return all items taken. (On another note, if he didn't want the items taken, why didn't he just lock his chest? And another note, the chest kind of seems like a ban bait, and that's wrong in every sense to bait newer players who aren't familiar with the rules. As far as I knew there's no griefing, and chests can be locked, so it's therefor not theft.)

Why do you want to come back:
I have meant no intentional harm on any players on our sever and would love the privilege of returning. I believe this was all a big misunderstanding and am willing to return any missing items. I love playing on this server, with my friends; Protogears, Snowfl4k3, Andernav and Sighhhhhhh, futhermore if I am allowed to return to the server that would be wonderful. Thank you for your time, and your consideration.

Why should you be unbanned: While the majority of my mining in the past was legitimate, In the last three days I made the choice to discreetly toss in X-ray to supplement my mining strategy effectively increasing the yields by around one and a half to two times the previous yields. While i thought i could get away with this because of the discretion and caution I assumed, I was stopped in my tracks by a seeming multi staff investigation. My negative choices have lead to negative consequences and I am ashamed of my mistake. If I am to come back I will find different ways to make money and will stop mining altogether. 

Why do you want to come back: Playing on hometown for me has become an activity as regular as eating or sleeping. I have created many bonds with other players that I would like to continue. The one of a kind community has helped fill a hole for me that i have encountered recently in my life. I do hope that you take this into consideration while deciding if i get to stay in the community. Sincerely - fghafg

Why should you be unbanned: It has been many years since i was banned and i want to start playing on an SMP server again and my friends are playing on the server and i want to join in. i understand what i did and i will no do it again.

Why do you want to come back: My friends are all playing on the server and I want to join in with them.

Why should you be unbanned: I thought it was ok if the land was unclaimed. I played on another server that used the same claiming system and it stated that if a land was unclaimed, it was abandoned, therefore free for grabs. I thought this server was the same. I'm very sorry and I will take into account that this server does not accept griefing under no circumstance and I will never grief again.

Why do you want to come back: This server was very fun and there were a lot of very nice people. I had just started settling down with my house and I was happy with my place. I really enjoy this server because I feel very free in it. There are so many things to do and warps to visit, and there's never a boring moment. 

Once again, I'm very very very sorry for griefing and I guarantee you it will not happen again.

Why should you be unbanned: I was banned a while ago when I wasn't familiar with the rules or game. I now understand the rules.

Why do you want to come back: This server is very fun! I haven't been able to find any like it and I want to be able to play on it again with the fun aspects of the server.

Rules which apply on the server but may not be written down in a formal way at the tutorial, /rules or /warp rules or may be difficult to find.

• Do not misuse #get-help you will be kicked from the discord if you are not using it for server related help. For example, spammers, grief, needing a warp set. 
  

• Do not name the top bidder each time someone bids higher than the person before. This generates unnecessary chat spam. You only need to name the top bidder at the end of a bid or the near ending of a bid. 
  
• Do not auction off 'fake items' such as items you do not have, that are stolen. You must make clear the difference between an actual item (Deadcore's own shovel) or a renamed shovel.
  
• Fake auctions or bids will not be tolerated. Only auction if you have the item and only bid if you have the money. 
  
• You must follow through with bids/auctions. If you auction an item and do not get the amount of money planned, you still have to sell the items to the winning bidder. Furthermore, if you are the winning bidder you must pay up even if you didn't wish to buy the item.
  
• Don't start an auction if there is already one going on at the time.
  
• Only bid in whole increments ($1) not ($0.001)
  
• Don't spam your auction just because no one is bidding.
  

• Do not impersonate other players on the server. This is because it causes confusion when talking to players in chat.
  
• Do not pretend to be a relative or object related to someone, if they have asked not to be used in your nickname, this can cause some to feel uncomfortable. 
  
• Please do not create 'spammy' nick names such as [Adept] iliketogoouttothebeach if you are going to have nick names like this please capitalise or colour code them. [Adept] ILikeToGoOutToTheBeach 
  

• Be respectful to everyone. This means not telling people to "shut up" or "fuck off"
  
• Do not pretend to /msg someone. (using color codes to make it look like you are /msg'ing them) [Experienced] F >>  -> me] This causes chat problems and confusion. It is sometimes funny one time not multiple.
  
• Do not spam your #AD every minute. Keep Ad's to either every 5 minutes or if the chat is quiet, advertise each time it leaves chat when you scroll up. 
  
• Do not waste staff's time. Staff want to help everyone, but calling staff for help without reason means that staff cannot help someone else with an actual reason.
  
• Do not avoid being kicked. If you accidentally spammed or used caps staff understand this may have been an accident, but you still need to be kicked for your warning. Leaving the server will result in possible temp ban, mute or a kick when you join back anyways. 
  
• Please try not to abuse color codes. They are a VIP perk only, but there is no need to talk in a rainbow italic  font each time you're trying to speak to a friend. 
  
• We all enjoy custom death messages when renaming a zombie to a funny name. However, some do not enjoy it when different custom death messages are spammed in the chat. Please try to avoid spamming death messages in chat and make sure they're appropriate.
  
• Do not /afk then move about, /afk then move about, /afk then move about. It counts as spamming and you will be kicked for it. 
  
• Do not post inappropriate links, share personal images or information about someone else in global. It is their choice who knows what information about them. 
  
• If told to /ignore someone, please either listen to staff and /ignore them. Or do not complain in global about it. 
  
• Do not purposefully cause arguments in chat, if told to drop a situation in chat by staff, please do so. If there is further issues please direct message staff about any issues.
  

• The 100 block rule always applies. Even if someone has been offline 2 years. You still cannot build within 100 blocks of them. Yes sometimes they never come back, but some players do come back and have the issue of having to ask someone to move as they thought "heck they'll never come back"
  
• Inactivity does not matter. If you build a town and plan to expand, but someone offline for 6 months is in the direction of expansion. This does not mean staff will remove the build. On rare occasions staff will remove builds or in certain circumstances. Staff only remove builds when they have been built within 100 blocks of the original builder.
  
• Furthermore, Staff will not world edit (W/E) a build to move it else where just for convenience. On rare occasions staff will W/E a build or use W/E to move a build if it is large and within 100 blocks of someone else. 
  
• Claiming land to own a 100 block radius. You need a 5x5x5 hut with a locked furnace or chest so staff are able to identify who owns the land just in case logs are removed.
  
• Do not claim a whole biome. Sometimes you have a project planned which will be huge, however setting a fence around a whole biome is unfair and is not allowed. If you build and take up the space of a biome then that is acceptable, however if you claim a whole biome without taking up the space, staff will ask you to remove claims. 
  
• Do not trespass. If you have been told "you are banned from my shop /warp shop" then you under no circumstances are allowed there. If you see a fence or building with [WARNING] DO NOT TRESPASS. Do not go on that land. You will be banned and have to appeal. 
  
• If you are told to leave an area, but player or staff. You must leave. 
  
• Please do not ask for your items to be respawned in. Only in rare circumstances will staff respawn items. If you have lost your God pickaxe, staff will not respawn it. If the server crashed, you were player killed or other server side errors, will staff then only respawn your items back. If it is a legit death, (you afk'ed and died) no items will be respawned. 
  
• Do not cause lag on purpose. Things like using /speed 10, /d slime size 100 etc. may cause lag on the server. Please try to refrain from causing lag. Furthermore make sure any redstone has an on/off switch to also reduce lag.

Why should you be unbanned: I found a old abandoned looking base near my house with a beacon in it. I thought that the base was long forgotten and would not be missed because there are many other houses around where mine is that have been abandoned for over a year, and I figured that it was built by one of the same long gone players that built the other abandoned buildings. I wrongfully decided that it would be alright to move the beacon to my house . I now understand that It is wrong to take other players stuff, even if it is unclaimed and appears to be abandoned.

Why do you want to come back: This is the server that me and all of my friends play on, and I would like to return and rebuild the beacon.
