Hello members of Hometown I SoldierofEvil have returned once more to introduce myself to the people of the server old and new. 

I apologize for my absence , but I was preoccupied with two and a half years of community college, and currently am enrolled in my first semester at a Four-Year university. With this semester wrapping up in a few weeks I’ll be around on the server more frequently this summer.

Reason for your ban: "Conduit Theft"

Who banned you: Steasaur

Why should you be unbanned:  I haven't been on for several weeks.  When I came back, I saw the ban and had to look up what conduit was.  I do remember "mining" that, but didn't know it was an item that was owned.  Until a few months ago it had been years since I played minecraft, thus am unfamiliar with many new items and features.  I was more excited about finding something I thought hadn't already been taken by someone else, and it didn't prevent me from taking it like with something claimed, so I thought I was fine.  I guess I should have asked beforehand, or even right after.  Maybe I just didn't want to bombard people with noob questions all the time.  I am sorry for the trouble it may have caused.  I don't have the time or energy to be a trouble maker.


Why do you want to come back: Occasional catharsis.  Sometimes I need to get on and be creative or just put my other thoughts on the back burners while I build and mine.  Single player can do that but there is something to be said for having a living community around you.

Why should you be unbanned: Because I had little awareness of claim protection and I did replant the crop afterwards also.



Why do you want to come back: Because I know that I won't do it again.

Reason for your ban: Diamond block theft

Who banned you: Ender

Why should you be unbanned: I am pretty new to Minecraft, I just started playing with my friends and they invited me to play on your server. I had a basic understanding of the game and so I was interested in the whole claiming and protected blocks thing going on so over the different places I went I would experiment and see what blocks were locked/unlocked. Once I figured out kinda how the warping system worked I was trying out different words to see where they led. And so of course I tried /warp diamonds and that brought me to the square structure with the burning nether rack and with the diamond blocks on the corners. I figured that those blocks had to be locked down but I wanted to try it anyways. So I broke one and was surprised. I wondered if this was an anomaly or if they were all unlocked so I broke another and the item landed on the burning netherrack which didn't worry me since I had seen how items were protected but when I went to pick it up the item was not there and did not go into my inventory. So I left with the intent of replacing that block but I eventually forgot and logged off, (which I realize was irresponsible and negligent of me). My intent was not to steal from other players, just to experiment with protected blocks, and I would gladly replace the block in question.

Why do you want to come back: I enjoyed playing on your server for the time that I did, my friends and I had started builds in a good area and I would like to complete them.

Why should you be unbanned: I walked into a huge area with some open chests, I didn't realize that taking from the chests was prohibited as there were no signs. I will return all items.

Why do you want to come back: My friend is on the server and we were wanting to build and open up a shop together.

My suggestion for this server is to have warnings before you actually get banned. For example, if someone x-rays, they get banned for only a few hours instead of a few days straight away. Then after that, if they're still breaking rules, ban them as you would normally.

It is taking a while for my ban appeal to be replied to and I want to get back on the server as soon as possible.

Why should you be unbanned: I haven't played on the server for a quite a while now and was surprised that I have been banned for griefing. I was banned previously and have tried my hardest to adhere to the server rules. If I have truly broken a rule, I am sorry and will try even harder to not break server rules.

Why do you want to come back: Summer is starting soon and all my college friends are planning on playing together on this server. This server created the perfect SMP environment and we enjoyed playing on it last summer.
