Why should you be unbanned: I made the mistake of bringing toxicity and general nastiness to the server, which is definitely not appreciated or accepted here. I don't think my words and actions should represent me as a person and there is definitely no seriousness behind what I say. For me it is simply satire and generally a reaction to something someone has said, or another players actions. I'm more than happy to come to terms with anyone effected by the words I use and I will definitely filter my language to the dot. I understand also that my cultural differences and upbringing do not fit those of the people around me and things I may see as acceptable are hurtful or disrespectful to others. I would like to use this appeal to say sorry to any members of the community who have been effected by my words and if unbanned I will definitely tone down my language and definitely not direct it towards a single person or group of people.

Why do you want to come back: I've played on the server for a fair amount of time now and have made personal connections with many of the players. I feel as if I can play a positive part in this community and rectify my actions. I am positive that I can rectify of all problems I've caused and improve on myself as a person along the way. I know that if I am accepted back into this great community I can help create a more positive atmosphere.

I should be unbanned because I advertised that i was paying someone to die in chat, and he had dead and was upset i payed double for the mistake. I had believed he had been wanting the death hob that i had advertised.

Reason for your ban: beacon theft

90% of my items are things I took from seemingly abandoned areas. When everytime you do /wild it drops you within 1 chunk of someones build, if not directly inside it, it makes not "griefing" pretty difficult. I thought claims existed to protect peoples builds and things they want to "claim" as theirs. I do apologize for overlooking the rules on taking unclaimed things and if someone was still using something that I took I sincerely apologize, you should probably also tell them to claim it next time. Protect your beacons, 2 votes would have gotten whoever the needed blocks to protect it. Why have a claim system at all if every block someone touched in the past is off limits.

Reason for your ban: grief; took diamond blocks from /warp diamonds(?) and thought it was a secret thing as an easter egg or something and that it wouldn't be a problem if i were to take them. i now understand that I was incorrect and i apologize.

Why do you want to come back: i enjoy the environment of the server and the players on it.

Okay so how this works is that someone starts a song by saying one line, then the others say one line per song until its finished. then someone else can start another song. Okay, i'll start.


Coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine

Dear Moderators and Guardians,

I have been fortunate enough to be a part of the HomeTown community for a while now, and I love getting to talk with other players and bond with them over our real-life interests and our in-game activities. It truly is a fun place to escape the world around me.

However, there is an issue I would like to bring up that I feel is not being properly addressed.

A few minutes ago, I was muted after a discussion with another player in which they decided to re-enforce the idea that 'you are what you're born as' in the sense of people being only their assigned sex at birth. As a transgender man currently undergoing HRT (hormone-replacement therapy), I found this dysphoria inducing, and distressing. I have no good way to explain dysphoria to a person who has not experienced it, but I will say that dysphoria is a part of my past need for mental health-related hospital visits (none of which have been required since I began transitioning).

To me, it is ideas like these that cause society to laugh at and mock trans people, and over time that laughter turns into hate. A hate that has taken three transgender women in my city in the last six months.

I beg you, please look at comments like these on the same level as ideas like 'black people are th*gs' and 'jewish people are gr**dy', because they are the comments that when put together with other comments like it, lead to horrendous actions, and the deaths of some of the most vulnerable people in society.

I am proud of who I am, but to have people spread this misinformation and hate makes me scared to be myself.

Please, address this.
