Most commonly when updating versions, (in this case 1.14.2) there are many questions people ask or bring up during the process.
We will NOT reset the server without large amounts of warning. If there is ever a reset planned, players normally are able to vote. If a reset IS PLANNED, staff will give months in advance of warning on the server, forums and discord.
"You are not whitelisted on this server" if this is coming up while you're trying to log in, you are NOT banned. Staff are just working on something which requires players to be offline as staff need to focus on fixing or improving something on the server, like testing out commands, plugins or any issues to be fixed.
Commonly with a new version and server updates there IS lag. Please do not complain, we understand it is frustrating, however sometimes we have to allow the server to get used to all the block changes while people actively play. Complaining will NOT fix the lag, it just causes irritation and in fact more stress. Thank you :)
If there is any issues, such as item loss, glitches or plugin issues please make sure to contact staff via Discord or the forums about it. We are happy to help during this, however sometimes we may be preoccupied trying to focus on the stability of the server.
While being whitelisted, we do not add players to the whitelist. If you see names online, they are most likely staff or trusted players helping out with something on the server. Asking to be added to the whitelist will do nothing.
We all understand you're excited to play the new versions, but there is sometimes rules in place to help the server run smoother. In addition to this, rules are still rules, please try to refrain from using caps although we understand its cool to see new items in the game!
Any questions about updates are normally answered shortly after release and or server update. If your question has not been asked feel free to use #general or #get-help on discord. If questions like "are we resetting" or "when will the server be back up" are asked, these questions normally are repeated multiple times. Staff will let you know if there is a reset or will announce when the server is up.

Reason for your ban: When I try to log in it says I was banned for 'grief'. Who banned you: "Kat", evidently.
Why should you be unbanned: Well, let's see. The last time I played on the server was a minimum of a year and a half ago, not entirely sure when, and I have no knowledge of what actually happened to get me banned. I know that I did not 'grief'. I'm a 30-year-old Mom. I just wanted to play on a server with other people in my down time. My best guess is that it was either accidental on the part of the person who banned me, or one of my young kids played on the server on my account and did something at that time that got me banned. At the time it wasn't unusual for my kids to use my computer. Wish I knew
Why do you want to come back: Still just want to play on a server with other people in my down time. That and the fact that I wasn't responsible for whatever got me banned in the first place. It's honestly not a huge deal, just this is your process for people who are more invested, so I'm doing the thing.

Hi, so I tried to join hometown to play some relaxing smp and I saw it said I was not on the whitelist. So i went on the fourms and made an account because I never had to ask whats going on. I saw on a recent thread that the server is being worked on. The thread said if vip players will still have their rank and illogical responded that he might have to notify an admin.
I was a top tier vip i forgot which I was. I was either Vip 2 or 3 I had /fly but thats all I remember. I donated about last year when I was really active.
I was wondering if I could get my rank restored, and also if the very original world will still be running or has the server reset. Is there an estimated time when the server will come back to the public? And lastly will we still have all of our items? Thank you guys tons for the amazing memories in the past I am back and ready to make some more!
Hey i joined this server a few years back and played for about a year bought the 20-25$ vip for fly the works. I just wanted to know if i come back with the same account will i still have my vip? Figured ide ask before i try to get whitelisted.
Why should you be unbanned: Well, i was bored, messing around on the server, and i decided to look for some cool warps. I ended up finding "/warp diamonds". it was a small structure, with four diamond blocks in it, one in each corner. I tried to mine one for fun, just to see; and it worked. So, i thought this was maybe some easter egg or secret warp meant for the first person to use it and take said diamonds; especially since most land you're not allowed to edit or take from is claimed, and this land was unclaimed, it seemed like it was there to take for free. I do apologize, but it really seemed like they were free to take.
Why do you want to come back: I really enjoy the server, populated, plenty to do, and i play with a good friend on it. it was not my intention to grief, i just thought the majority of unclaimed land was free to take, edit, or whatever. There were also no signs at all stating to leave the diamonds alone; Or any instructions for the place what so ever. Again, i apologize. Hope this will be appealed.
