Hello fellow HT players. 'Tis I, GingaPower2k, and today I've come for suggestions from you. After a long journey through the End, I have procured 6 Elytras and 6 Dragon Heads. Yes, I know, It's quite unreal. Since I love to help out the community, (and because I don't need 6 of each), I'll be hosting contests/giveaways for players who didn't have time to explore the End a chance to have such rare items.
  
   What I have come to ask you, players, is this: What kind of contests do you think I should hold?

   Here is a few idea's I have come up with:

   -Mansion building contest (I dunno)
   -Minecraft Skin building contest
  
   There isn't many options right now, so I'm hoping we can all come together to help make ideas. Please keep the ideas appropriate and logical. Any options that come up I will consider and later host a poll that will have all the competitions posted for a vote.


   While I have you here reading this, I'd like to state one thing about the contests. If a player currently owns either the Elytra and/or the Dragon Head, the player cannot participate in the competition. This is so players that don't have the Elytra or Dragon Head can have a fair chance at procuring one.


   After the competitions, Any extra Dragon Heads or Elytras will be sold, but we must wait for the economy to produce such funds.

   If any other players have an excessive amount of Elytras or Dragon Heads, feel free to host giveaways as well! These help out the community and can even be used to your advantage.

EDIT: I forgot to point out that these giveaways wont be all on one day. They will span out over a set period of time.

Hope the new-found life in the server is good

Myself and CrimsonLaw23 (partner who also plays on the server) are having a bit of away time at the moment.

Crimson was rushed into hospital earlier this week with complications and after 3 days gave birth to our daughter. Both Mummy and baby are a little bit poorly at the moment however due to some complications and a long stay in hospital has been needed. 

No doubt Mummy will make a return to the server in the very near future, but for a little while it may be sporadic as in regards to as and when I get online, if at all.

Why should you be unbanned: 
From reading previous Xray appeals, I noticed that there are a series of essay-like questions that are required to be answered, so I am going to use this category (the "Why should you be unbanned" category) to answer those as best as possible, along with my actual answer to the question.

The first question that was asked, is why Xraying is bad by nature. I would like to think the answer to this is quite obvious, although I ignored it when I installed and used Xray myself. Xraying provides a completely unfair advantage to the user, as it allows the user to gain precious resources at a much faster rate than those who are not using Xray by showing their exact location. Some of these resources include, but are not limited to: diamond veins, dungeons, mineshafts, emeralds, and even strongholds. Xraying affects more than just the user though. When the Xrayer acquires these resources, it makes it so other players on the server cannot get these resources. It is very unfair to those other players, since because you were Xraying they had absolutely no chance of ever coming close to them. The Xrayer themselves can then go ahead and use those resources to gain an unfair advantage in the economy (which from my understanding in the short time playing on the server is fragile at the moment, due to the map reset). Xray is an external mod that, as far as my understanding goes, is not endorsed by Mojang, so installing it in the first place is "bad" of me. I realize that most, if not all servers do not allow Xray, but I had it on my client from a private MP server that was being hosted from my computer for some friends of mine. When I had decided that I wanted to start playing on an SMP server, I had not changed my profile. I started by using Xray to build tunnels underground from one base to another, which seems harmless, but it quickly went from that to easy diamond acquisition, which I now understand is very difficult, if not impossible to hide, and I am deeply sorry for letting my greed get the best of me.

The next question that was asked was how my Xraying affects others in the server. I explained that mostly in my previous answer, but to sum it up: I get an unfair amount of resources that would other wise be unattainable, and I throw the public economy off balance if I were to sell my unfairly gained resources.

The third question, how the server's economy if affected, I also believe has been answered sufficiently. (please notify me if I am wrong in this thinking, and I will go much more in depth as to how the fragile in-game Minecraft server economy is affected by a sudden influx if diamonds, and how/why this is an issue).

The fourth question is how will I learn from this moment, and how will I apply it to legitimately playing. First and foremost, I learned that even if I did try and hide it, I would most likely have been found out for Xraying, so attempting to cheat in future is something I will MOST definitely not even attempt to think about. I also learned, from the system in which I have to appeal (writing an essay) that cheating is taken VERY seriously on this server, which I appreciate as that is not the case on some other servers I have played on in the past. As to how I will apply this experience to legitimate play, I think it goes without saying that if I do manage to get unbanned, and if this patronizing apology is enough to be allowed back on this Minecraft server I will start to play legitimately like the rest of the players on the server, and learn to appreciate vanilla Minecraft for what it really has to offer.

And now for my official apology. I am deeply sorry for having cheated, by using Xray, on this Minecraft server, and I indeed understand the reason for my ban. I have read that most Xray appreal get declined, but I hope my sincerity and professionalism in writing this allows myself to be apart of the small group that does get a second chance. I also want to take this as a chance to commend the admins and staff of this server for their ability in finding the cheaters and keeping the server as a true semi-vanilla survival experience.

I think I should be unbanned because I have realized the mistake I had made in using my modded Minecraft profile for personal gain, and I feel a great amount of regret for having potentially ruined the Minecraft experience of other real people on this Minecraft server. I also believe in second chances, no matter how bad the offense, and I hope whoever reads this does aswell. Thanks for taking the time to read.

Why should you be unbanned: I was using Minechat and I pasted something not realizing that some special characters that don't work in minecraft so. When a system doesn't know a special characters it messes up and makes it very long since some characters are like 5 letters long. Also I realize I spam alot but that time I had no clue I was spamming. Although I regret trying to paste that.

Why do you want to come back: I really want to come back because I love Hometown and I started a few projects on HomeTown and it's the just not the same of different servers. HomeTown is everything I wanted when I searched for a SMP Server.

I should be unbanned cause honestly I dont know why I was banned, it claimed I was scamming when I "sold" my friend the world seed,
which was just a seed renamed in an anvil. I didnt scam him, him and I are in a voice call talking and we have a good laugh about it and right
afterwords I am banned, so I dont know what harm was done. Maybe some poor guy in chat thougth he was actually gonna buy the world seed, but
I didnt scam ANYONE. I never got any money, my account balance is still at 0 and if giving my friend a seed is ban worthy well I guess I should
be banned.
I want to come back because my friends are pissed I cant play with them now and I tried having a little fun with a situation I thought was
nothing big bot resulted in me getting perma banned.

Heyo, denizens of HomeTownMC.  This is just a thread to inform people that in ~23 hours after this post is made that my vacation begins.  I will be gone for 2-weeks, during which I will be traveling across the Midwest and Western regions of the US.  During this time, internet access may be limited, non-existent, or I'll be per-occupied doing fun stuff, so don't expect to see me online that much–or at all for that matter.  I'll try to hop online to check things when possible or just chat on Discord; I'll try to get pictures to share with you all.

Reason for your ban: I entered a claimed village and placed two sugar canes along with other few blocks, destroyed two blocks (but replaced them), and farmed in said village.

Why should you be unbanned: Although I understood that griefing was not permitted in HomeTown, I didn't mean to trigger any negative feelings upon anyone, and didn't perceive my wrongful act as anything bad. I now comprehend the unfairness in my act and won't even consider repeating anything similar to it once again. 

Why to you want to come back: I would like to come back because I enjoy the HomeTown server, and would also appreciate playing with my friends.

Why should you be unbanned: I'm not exactly sure why I was banned, but I have a few suspicions
to why I was banned. It might of been because of a few blocks that I placed and broke near an ice
plains biome (where someone was doing something, not sure), because of some trees I planted in front
of a house (which was Rashky's and mine) or because of a farm I was building (again, near Rashky's
house). I'm not sure which one was it (could of been all 3) but whatever it was, I apologize for it
and I promise I won't do it again.

Why do you want to come back: I want to come back because it's one of the only servers I know
that I can hang out with some of my friends whom I know from around where I live. Plus it's really fun
to be in this server, there's a lot of good people around.
