i literally had to change the title of this whole thing to make this more intresting. People dont realize this is a giveway XD a dragon head and diamond giveway! Its below their very eyes! If they would just read the whole thing...  people dont either care about free diamonds and dragon heads anymore (which i doubt) or  they dont want to complete tasks to take a part into a giveway because... reasons (more possible). I dont know, i should just make a plain old giveway, but i dont want to to! Either this gets to be gone played trough or i make a simple old-fashioned giveway. 

I have invented a new forum game. But because everyone is so lazy these days- oh whats that? You're Triggered!? I dont give a sandvich. -nobody plays these games. Even the good ones! Which is such a shame. So, i am going to do a giveway for the ones who take a part to this forum game. As a bait.  But this game is not so simple. To take a part, you have to have an acces to your laptop/computer/whatever you use to visit the forum and play  mc with, at 10.00 AM Et(i know most of you ppl have school at time but i counted on the holiday break.). If you are not able to do that, you are going to have a significant disadvantage at the forum game, so i highly recommend you not to take a part to this forum game to make sure you spare yourself from the disapointment. Im very sorry about this, but thats just the way this game rolls. i may make another forum game with voted timezone if this one will be success. Now lets get to the rules! Here they come:


Every day after the preparation day (which is tomorrow) i shall release an ingame task at 10.00 AM Et. on this thread. Complete the task on hometown. The first one to complete the task and send a reply with the completed task shall get the point. 10 tasks are released and only  one player gets to complete one task. After 10 tasks, 10 players which have completed their task and a giveway shall be released amongst on these 10 players. The prize is: a Dragon head valuepack! (Dragon head and a stack of dias.)

A task could be: collect 3 sheep, 1 chicken and 2 cows in the wild and lock them into a 5x5 pen made out of spruce fences. (Not going to be a task, dont go complete that.) so the tasks are gonna be pretty simple! If the task is to get some materials like glowstone, DONT GO BUY IT FROM SHOPS! It will ruin the point of the game. The first one to complete the task and send a picture out of it on this thread shall be selected to the giveway. Get ready guys, and a happy new year! Incase no-one parttakes, NO-ONE GETS THE VALUE PACK and i shall keep it. We dont want that to happen do we?

hello this is JoesMine231, i dont know why i have been banned from hometown survival server. it says i was banned by kat for rule 1/2 but i searched the rules. how can you have half of a rule, im very confused. but honestly, i haven't played hometown in a few months so i am not sure why i have been banned. can someone please give me an explanation. i wasn't banned until after i left the game. im not even sure when i cant find anything telling me about the ban. there does not appear to be a ban list. please get around to me i am so confused and would realy wish to be helped or at least given an explanation. i also have never even heard of this "kat" mod or why they banned me. my best guess is that it was an accident.


by the way sorry for the bad spelling. and if you are wondering i have never been banned from any server. i have only been warned for some minor spam in the past on other servers.

I doubt any of these items will gain any traction, but I'll propose a couple of ideas anyway:

1) I've been on several servers, in the past, where the Nether was a no-holds-barred wild-west free-for-all. The rest of the server areas were strictly controlled, not unlike HT, but the Nether was PvP-allowed, and no claims. On most of those servers the Nether was reset, on average, every 1-3 months. This is an extreme suggestion, and only lightly proffered. 

2) Claims, overworld or nether, must either be actual "claims" or signified by effort, ie: a 'reasonable effort or build' of some sort ( sorry, but imo, a few weak blocks slapped down in the middle of a plateau with a sign stuck in it is not fair or reasonable when used ad nauseum ). Obviously, if you build something, there should be protection afforded, but dropping a sign on a nether fortress or ocean temple or random plot of land, or other resource, that simply reads "claimed", while no effort is made to improve or secure, or really provide protection for the area, should not be valid

I had a couple other points on this same theme, but I'm not expecting any kind of warm reception to even these, so I'll wait and see what kind of scorching retorts I'm subjected to before expanding on this theme.

I have an Idea that would really help out. I know it exists, but I dont remember the exact name of it. We should consider having the mod where when you break part of a tree everything above it comes down. Kind of like cacti, chorus plants, and sugar cane. What do you think about this idea?

Reason for your ban: I was banned for using X-ray.

Why should you be unbanned: I know I used X-ray and I honestly won't deny it. I genuinely enjoy the server and I shouldn't have taken a shortcut to my progress. My friends and I recently joined the server looking for a good survival world and we found it, and we quickly set up a house and a mine. The next day I got banned for X-raying and my friend got pissed at me for doing it, because he wanted to stay on the server due to the community and overall nice vibe.

It's my fault and I accept full responsibility for my actions, and would like to ask for another chance. I've told my friend about my decisions and he says that if I do get unbanned, he will make sure that I don't use X-ray so we can avoid another situation like this. We don't want to go to another server, so I'd like to ask for an unban. In turn, I'll have my friend (IGN: Hydronair) report me to the mods if I use X-ray again.

I studied other ban appeals to see how I can change my actions, and I found that a mod has an essay against X-raying, and I'd like to give it a shot for a somewhat better chance at consideration for an unban.

1. X-raying is bad because of it's ability to take the main point of the game, discovery, and turn it into an endurance test instead of an actual challenge. It's taken a lot of the fun out of the game for me, and I've only done it for an advantage over other players, similar to eating junk food despite knowing it's bad for you in the long run.



2. X-raying affects other players negatively because of the advantage it gives you over other players, making them feel left out and forcing them to use X-ray like an infection. It's always felt unfair when someone X-rays to get more than you.



3. X-raying affects the economy in the same way it affects other players: negatively. After a (near) infinite and impossible amount of time, all mining resources of a world will have been harvested for personal use. X-raying only speeds that up and forces the economy and server to be more one sided, as well as kill it faster.



4. I've been banned for X-raying before on a couple of other servers years ago, and I've regretted it each time. I've recently gotten back into Minecraft, and the same feeling came back when I got banned. Since I don't play on a lot of servers, I genuinely want to ask for another chance to enjoy the server and it's community.


I know this post is pretty long, but a mod named Grimm_Wolfe said on another post that "An xray appeal must be long and well written in order to even be considered" so I'm putting plenty of effort into this appeal. Thank you for your time.


Why do you want to come back: I wish to come back because this is the first survival server that I've thoroughly enjoyed in a long time. This server is extremely simple and sweet, and that's exactly what I love about it. The community is nice and tells me which warps to go to when I need supplies, and the staff are kind to everyone. A guy named RisingSwell even lended me supplies and helped me find a home when I first joined! Seriously, this server is great and I wish I could be a part of it again. Thanks again for reading, and I hope you consider my appeal.
