i've had this twice now. i click on minecraft and instead of the launcher opening like normal, it does some shenanigans downloading the native launcher and then when it completes it gives an error saying it couldn't move a file (can't remember the exact error). I have found a fix for this: running the launcher as admin, however it troubles me. Has anyone else seen this?

I've been playing Minecraft for a few years with my current user name. I've been thinking of purchasing a second account (with a similar user name to the one I already have) to use as a test account on servers, eg. I could test things like shop chests and land claim permissions to see how they function for other people.

My question is, are there any rules preventing us from playing on HomeTown using a second account, and if we can, are there any guidelines as to what we can and cannot do using these accounts?

A user and I were discussing about shops the other day, and the most popular ones, and it got me thinking that I wanted to make a large shop for my next build (a shop where one could purchase everything you can think of - not just the most common blocks or items. That means a big gardening section with every type of flower, all the grass and leaf types, vines, etc. - a thorough selection, you get the idea, and this idea would expand to each and every item type). Building wouldn't be such a problem, I have the time, resources, and spot, and I'd build simply so as to keep lag to a minimum, which would be necessary for such a large store. But I have a few concerns about certain items and stocking the store.

Problem 1 is that I've noticed other users, even with popular stores, have trouble stocking a few certain items, such as quartz blocks and glowstone. I can't fly, and I only have 2 homes, which means that I essentially cannot effectively use the res world, as I can't set homes there (need them for in progress builds) and I can't move around effectively to find the biomes I need. It would take me a long time to reach an unraided part of the Nether. I never realized until recently just how game-changing it is, economy and resource-gathering wise, to be able to fly. I can't do it, so I don't think there's any way I could stock blocks like this.

Problem 2 would be the fact that I am unwilling to buy certain items, based on trends I've noticed. One example is diamonds - I have never once bought a diamond from any player's store, and I can't see why anyone would do so. Just making one pickaxe would add up to 150 dollars because of the server shop's set price, and I've made the cost assessment - buying diamonds from any player store would be a massive waste of money because of the ease of going and finding even just one yourself. For those of you who have shops, do your diamonds even sell? I can't really understand how they would. There are other such items, too, namely anything in the server shop that can be sold - especially redstone blocks, iron blocks, gold blocks, etc.

One proposed solution I have to both of these problems is that I build the store, stocking the items like flowers, rails, dyes, etc. (the items I could gather or craft myself) in my own sell chests and let somebody else place signs on and sell in the nether quartz, glowstone, etc. chests. Another option is, I could build the store and then sell it to somebody.

Why should you be unbanned: I earlier made an appeal stating that I didn't think I had done anything wrong, turns out I had. Reason is pretty much because I mostly forgot about it, and thought I had done it on a different server. Now that I realize I have actually done something wrong, I apologize. 

I do have an explanation, though looking back at it, is does make me look pretty dumb:
I came across the massive farm whilst searching for good warps to get food. Thinking it was some sort of server-owned mass farm for everybody to use, I started to take admittedly quite a lot. The reason is that, at the time, I thought all the crops would simply re-plant themselves, as I was used to that mechanic from other servers. 

Again, I know that's stupid, and I fully accept responsibility for it. 

Overall, I know I actually broke the rules, and it's not like I have a real excuse that makes sense. The only thing I can say is sorry. I was stupid and dumb, I know that. I genuinely try to be a good guy whenever I'm playing games with other's, so please don't judge me purely from a past lack of common sense.

Why do you want to come back: Because, these days, a simple, friendly, more or less vanilla minecraft server is very hard to come by, and the fact that Hometown has an active community is really something special as well. I've made a pretty cool settlement with laza8 and robertshadow (check it out if you want) and it really would be a shame to lose such progress. I feel that I could really contribute to the server as a whole, whether it be by helping newcomers, voting, or building cool stuff. 
(I don't think there's anything wrong with this part, so I'm keeping it the same as my previous appeal)

I know I messed up, and I think anybody would be able to tell I'm genuinely sorry.

As a general note, I like to make little theme builds in my favorite biomes, and then move on to the next. When I started on the server, I made a quick place to live that pretty much serves as my base now (all my items and stuff are there, you know how it goes). It was a small cabin in a roofed forest biome, by a sort of horseshoe-shaped lake:

The next biome I wanted to build in was a mesa, and I was surprised that I was able to find my very own corner of one to start a ranch. I built enough stables for, and collected, every single possible horse color variant in the game (35 of them), and built a ranch house. First is the house, with a sort of Western style foyer and kitchen:

I had my sights set next on the Cold Taiga biome. I created (myself, it's non-natural) a frozen lake, covered just about every piece of grass within my little area with snow, and built a "lodge" out of an artificial cliff face, making it look sort of like an ice cave or something, from the outside. I called this place "Winter Wonderland Lodge:"

The Cold Taiga build and the Mesa build are theoretically open to the public, but I won't release the warp names until I've built up enough claim blocks to grab the entire areas.

I have been off the server for quite a few months, and I recently thought I would return again, but as soon as I attempt to log in, it says I'm banned for "massive croptheft". I can assure you, I have not done anything such as this, and I'm sure it was simply a minor mistake by the admin.

Even if I have committed such crimes, chances are I was only taking crops from my friend (laza8) with permission, and this might have been picked up on the system, I don't know. Whether this is the case or not, I now know this is not the done thing, and I will try to the best of my ability not to repeat such crimes.

Again, though, I cannot remember doing anything against the rules at all.

Hello to all you flower lovers out there, I have created your heaven!

/Warp Jellyflower is a 7-module flower farm located in a flower forest that is capable of farming 10000 flowers in 35 minutes.

If you only want a few specific kinds of flowers, you can pick and choose the modules you use since each module yields a different amount of different flowers!
Each bone meal yields an average of 2.4 flowers, and the whole farm can be loaded with 63 stacks of bone meals at once (9 stacks per dispenser). 
It is all automatic, and here are the instructions:

1: Load Bone meals into the dispensers you choose (there are signs under it to show the types of flower per bone meal). The dispensers are located in the hallway under the farms. 
2: flick the On/Off lever then AFK! There is a scenic path above the farms for some magnificent view!
3: After all bone meals have been expended, which takes 3.5 seconds per bone meal per module, turn the farm off again.

Have fun flower farming!!!

Yes, I've seen Kode364's appeal, and I see that Ara wants to give this player another chance.
However, from what I've seen it is unjustified. 

here's a bit of the log to highlight the spamming problem.
