Howdy! I'm AppleMcChees, most people call me Nick, or Nicholas, I really don't care which. I have a dog (weimaraner), a mother, a father, and a sister. I'm pretty pale, have curly, untamable hair, and a big Jewish looking nose. I've been on the server for a few months, but I never made or visited the forums at all really. I'm 15, turning 16 in (x) months. No birthdays for you. I like forests, art (not modern), cabins, sleep, space, the ocean, and video games. A few of my favourite video games are Shovel Knight, Pikmin, Terraria, FNaF (FOR THE STORY OF COURSE), Mushroom 11, and of course, Minecraft. I started playing Minecraft in 1.2 and i fell in love with it. My friend later introduced me to Terraria, which i am also pretty active in, being a small mod maker for it. I occasionally draw pictures in charcoal and put them in small community shows, and I might one day be an art teacher, whether it's at a school, or a community art center. That's about all I have as an introduction, thank you for being a lovely server with many talented builders, and a positive, mature community (for the most part).

Almost everyone on the server knows and understands the rules about caps. I understand we kick to let the player understand we don't tolerate caps. I can understand if the user purposely puts caps in the chat they will be kicked but what i don't understand is when the user accidentally uses caps. Many people look down on their keyboards and type and never look up at the screen to see what they are typing. Especially when the user is trying to capitalize a letter and try to use the shift button but accidentally pushes the caps lock button since they are right on top of another. Now for those that don't mean to caps the chat and say they are sorry right after they look up to see what they did because they were not looking while typing still get kicked. They know what they did wrong but the had no intentions of doing it in the first place.  I personally feel if the user understood what they did wrong and apologize then they shouldn't get kicked. Now if its a repeat offence then sure kick them but i saw the other day were someone who has been a member with hometown for a long time typed in full caps on accident, then said sorry but still get kicked. I'm more trying to see members thoughts and see if they too agree then actually change the rule.

*NOTE* This is more meant for the player who have been with us for a long period of time and fully understand the rules on caps then newbies trying to not get kicked.

Update: Due to popularity, there will be a randomizer used to assign who gets a role to allow those who weren't immediately online a fair chance at a role. The list of people who got a character will be announced at 4pm EST.

What to post:

I am the forensic autopsy technician. The results from my report show that the victim died from a poisoning overdose! It appeared the victim fought back, as someone else's blood was on their knuckles. (etc etc).


The thread will be unlocked for the characters to post their story, then it will be locked again to further comments until every character has posted their part and the evidence/scene clues are given. The thread will remain locked for a little while (a day or two) for people to think, then it will be unlocked for anyone that IS NOT a character to guess and talk to each other. Then, later on, the answer will be revealed.

Hello HomeTown,

I just wanted to let you all know that HomeTown is very special to me. I go through lengths of inactivity sometimes (like right now, though this time isn't by choice) and when I do come back or even log into discord and see all the familiar names, it makes me happy. Most of the older players are friends of mine or at the very least acquaintances. You newer players are pretty cool too though. 
My point is, while HomeTown is in a video game, and shouldn't be anyone's entire life, this server has positively impacted my real life. It's not even Minecraft itself that I'm drawn to. I love the community we have.
So to all my HomeTowners reading this, thanks for being you and for being part of our community.

Reason for your ban: i griefed signs and stole/killed sheep

Why should you be unbanned: i want to apologize for griefing signs and stealing/killing sheep. i do admit to killing sheep and breaking signs that did not belong to me.  i did this because the sheep pen was overcrowded because i had bread the sheep to much and the sheep needed room and i needed food. i should of consulted the town leader gloonkey before doing so. i destroyed the signs because i was angry at gloonkey i was not thinking straight i was not thinking about consquences, i was trying to help gloonkey with anger issues because he gets mad quickly and easily and i thought by destroying the signs would show him to loosen up but at that time i was still mad at him for some of his previous actions that have been resolved now. i promise not to do it again. from now on i will settle my anger towords someone by talking it through with them having a civil discussion and i promise not to resort to any kind of rule breaking e.g. griefing.  im hoping this incident will help me to improve my  behavior in the futre and keeping the rules in my mind at all times not making any exceptions to break them. 

Why do you want to come back: i enjoy this server so much because i can build without the thought of someone stealing the things from my chest or killing me. on this server i can build with all my new friends i have made. i really want to come back because i have been planning with my new friends ( celestialnights olivia_paige) ,who i met on the server, a town were we can all live and be peaceful and happy together. also i have put a lot of hard work and time into this server through building, gathering materials and collecting pets that i dont want to throw it all away through one silly mistake i made that i will never even think about repeating. i also suggested this server to a real life friend (pigtrolalol) and not me and her play together.

Why Should I be Unbanned: There was no warning at the spawn of the farm, I made the mistake thinking it was free without having to do anything. I would go back and plant the crops if I had a warning.

Why I want To comeback: I have two friends on that server, and we are building a castle.

P.S. Give a warning for first time offense, I didnt know you had to replant!
