Dear Readers,
I give up. I have been trying for a while now to convince you that I am sorry for what I have done in the past but I guess I will never be forgiven for what I have done. I realize it was bad and I know it was wrong to do it but let me tell you something, things change. Especially people can change while I am writing this I am thinking to myself about all the pain and regret i had when I made that choice to kill someone in a trap but I can change if you just give me a chance. If you are a mod or admin hat is reading this you probably are thinking why can we trust her. For all those others that don't know me I am RoseBudG (also known as KKGirl11) and I will get turned down a million times but I just want everyone especially the mods, admins and the person who I killed in the making of my ban (and DK)  to know that I am terribly sorry and I will do anything to get back on the best server I know of, Hometown.

Why should you be unbanned: The Hometown community is and always will be one of the most welcoming communities I have been a part of, and I would dearly miss it if I were banned permanently. You have my word to never use an x-ray pack or any other mod/resource pack/etc. to benefit me or any friends unfairly. I have even gone to the extent of deleting the resource pack from my .minecraft file, though I know that most likely doesn’t mean much. The staff members on this server are very respectable and I have found that hard to come by on other servers, most of them are very immature. Once more, I am very much aware of the fact that x-raying is a very serious offense and should not be taken lightly, I would 100% understand if you didn’t want to unban me. I’m not going to spew lies saying I didn’t do it, and I apologize for lying when first asked if I was x-raying. I did and I wholeheartedly admit that I can also wholeheartedly promise not to do it again. I can destroy the resources I gained from the mining trip (64 Diamonds, two stacks of red stone, unsure of others) or give them to any members of the community that are struggling, whichever you’d prefer. I would also like to give the reason why I x-rayed; simply because another member of the community (who I will not name but was banned as well) said something about him doing so and I stupidly thought that it would be a smart idea too. You are welcome to keep an eye on me for a few weeks or however else long; I’d completely understand that too.
 
People can change, I do think so, but not overnight. I decided to wait a day to write this appeal because, as desperate as I am, I didn’t want to come off that way. This server means a lot to me and the friends I have both invited on here, have made, and hope to make if my appeal is accepted. Before I was banned, I had a small community of my close friends growing; I would hate to leave that behind. When I was reading the forums, however, I did notice that one of the staff (I forgot the username, apologies) said that it is very unlikely to be unbanned after x-raying, so, as stated before, I would understand if the appeal were denied, though thoroughly disappointed.

Why do you want to come back:The reasons that I want to come back could go on forever, this server is all-and-all anything I could want in a community. The people of Hometown are some of the nicest, funniest, most welcoming people I’ve ever met. I’ve even made some very good friends through the community that have helped me through some tough times; losing such a server with such memories would be heartbreaking. I also feel I could help the community grow; I’d like to invite some more of my friends onto the server so we can play over the summer. I just graduated and likely will not physically see any of my old friends much or at all anymore, so this server could be the saving grace of our friendship. I also have put a lot of (legitimate) effort into gathering my other resources, building my house, helping others build their own houses, and growing a group of people to talk to. I have been on the server for roughly seven or eight months, I would be deeply saddened if those nine months of friendships and building went to waste.

SO here it goes the third quarter earnings of BC and we are going to get right into this saying I only do this because I have nothing better to do with my life while at the same time I am to young to run any business.

So BC had a great quarter from going from 1200$ to 1627$ which is an increase from the estimated 1500$. This was because of major company cutbacks on hiring and on resources as a whole

As well the deals from the Summer of Love even that will be going on till mid august Has been a success. And we watched as the company grew about 33% give or take and we expect this quartly earnings for Q3 to be at around 2000$ to 2200$ depending on the movement of the server economy

In the chart with the link I will leave here in a moment the company did see that the business did flat line near the end but that was from school testing and we will see the expansion of the biasness be greater then it is now. And Hopefully this will be a chance for the business to expand in the near future here is the link to our chart for the quarter.

Why should you be unbanned: I would want to become unbanned to repay for something I had done wrong. I want to put it right and become a member of the server again. I think I got the idea wrong and did not place the crops I had harvested at /warp ufarms. I thought there was some way of them all getting planted again but I did not know that I had to replant them. I understand what I have done wrong and would be willing to do anything to put it right.

Why do you want to come back: I am currently in the process of doing exams and thought I would come back onto Minecraft for the first time in months and this was the first server that came up on PlanetMinecraf, so I had decided to go and check it out, to come to my attention that the server is really fun and the people on it are all nice and friendly. I was getting higher ranks and coming on everyday for a good few hours in my spare time. I really want to become part of the server as I am bored without it.

I hope I can have some way of saying sorry as I would really like to be unbanned and play again.

Why should you be unbanned: I, Maddy, should be unbanned from hometown because what I did was done a very long time ago. It was immature of me to do and it will not happen again. When the ban message popped up on my screen I was devastated because the hometown server is one of my favorite servers in Minecraft. If the person I griefed is still active on the server I am willing to do everything in my power to make it up to them. 

Why do you want to come back: Hometown is the only server that my friends and I enjoy playing together on. It would be excellent to have things back the way they were. I've met so many good friends and good people in hometown and overall its just a great environment to be in. The mods treat everyone the same, and don't hold a higher power above them. I hope you understand and forgive what I have done. I regret every bit of it. For those who do not read ban threads, I got wordy when replying to an "x-ray"er.  Figured the info was too good not to repeat here to more readers.

When I first started in MC, I obsessively used MCEdit to clear 1000 x 1000 areas of stone, dirt, gravel and sand to study diamond distribution in a number of single player worlds and different biomes. I wanted to find the most efficient diamond mining strategy.  Turns out biomes don't matter much.

Natural caves are not much better than the same linear distance of tunneling.  I would MCEdit air to glass, then remove dross, fly around to see how many diamonds were against glass thus visible in caves.

Finger mining at y==11 is the most efficient method (diamond/stone ratio) that I have found by a tiny fraction than the next best alternative.  Finger mining is tunnels 13 blocks apart then every 3 along the tunnel finger in 5 at chest level on both sides -- lots of turning.

I prefer driving 1x2 tunnels every 4 blocks which is way easier to do mindlessly -- tunnel straight -- 100 block long tunnels side-by-side are much better because I have tunneled 1000 straight and not found any diamonds but lots in a tunnel 4 blocks over.  Yes diamond pockets tend to line up for 50 to 500 blocks at a time just often enough that I prefer to line up my tunnels over the first diamond pocket I find.

There is another method of drilling shafts down from higher up that is supposed to be slightly more efficient but I have not seen experimental numbers for the method; someone was way more obsessive than me and compiled numbers and graphs on the 2 methods that I use.  When I grind, I want mindless -- straight tunnels are easiest.

Take out every type of ore you find (diamonds tend to be in ore clusters) and pockets of dirt/gravel; many times you will expose the diamonds above or below you.

Both methods find all the diamonds available in an area 4 high and some above/below as well, which at y==11 is 1/2 the diamonds in an area. The remaining half are not worth the double effort compared to just mining another virgin area at y==11 for another 1/2; double effort because you have to repeat all the mining 4 blocks above for 1/4 and 4 blocks below y==11 for 1/4.

Every 1000x1000 area will yield about the same number of diamonds as any other 1000x1000 area.  You will find about 45% of the diamonds at y==11, 25% at y==7, 25% at y==15 and 5% is below y==6 or above y=19.  Yes, you will find 100x100 with very few diamonds around y==11 and the next 100x100 will have almost all the diamonds around y==11.  But those are rare, over 1000x1000 this averages out.

Now if you are tempted to xray -- DON'T! -- HT's default ban setting for xray is level "hardcore" -- perma ban -- your one life on HT is over.

If you find diamond pockets without drilling the equivalent of 100 to 150 x 2 blocks of tunnels on average PER POCKET, your mining will get scrutiny by multiple experts time and time again via logs and watching you in real-time. That is the average tunneling I had to do per diamond pocket on the old HT PVP server to get a full chest of diamond blocks (9 chests of diamonds) without any help!

People want to use xray to avoid that tunneling (grinding), or equivalent cave exploring distances. Sorry, you cannot avoid being detected if you do not grind, and if you grind to cover your xray, why risk of being banned.

Alright, I've been thinking of selling /warp emporium, but I'm not quite sure if I actually want to get rid of it for good. As I was thinking about it, I came up with a pretty decent idea, partially inspired by Cilgdad.

I'm going to be renting out space in Emporium. How it'll work? You'll chose which chests you want to sell from, out of the ones I currently have in the shop. We'll discuss the weekly rent amount based on the number of chests and the items being sold (I'll probably make a separate thread for that). I'll add you to the pstones and allow you to place the chests and determine your own prices (I reserve the right to veto absurd prices, and evict you if necessary). Rent will be due weekly, and I can evict you at any point. When properly advertised, the shop attracts tons of business. You will likely make tons of money, without having to stock an entire shop. It's a win-win for both of us!

I'll provide more details if anyone's interested. If you have any questions or want to rent space, reply to this thread!

I hate when people accuse me of something as serious as X-raying, especially when the plugins they have don;t really tell if you been X-raying. Especially after I've been unbanned not to long ago, and starting to get to know the community as it was on my list on what to do after I got unbanned.

To start things off, lets have a picture, some actual evidence that I was not X-raying:

This picture was taken yesterday, June 6th of 2016, not too long after my conversation with Rowebot about me stealing to get more materials to build with (which I was banned for). I said that I was salvaging materials from destroyed builds to benefit me (which was wrong and I haved fixed and promised to never do again), hens the reason I was mining.

As I told Frost, and I quote, "I mine near lava pools, because diamonds are more common (as well as other materials) are found often (since some people are afraid of mining toward lava)." How I found lava pools? Simply with the new "subtitle" option Mojang added in the 1.9 update (found in the Left Corner).

Something I didn't tell Frost (mainly because I was banned almost instantaneously while me and frost were talking about me X-raying) was that I also use the Y coordinate to make sure I'm at the diamond height (Something everybody knows).

And just to be sure that I'm not using another server as my excuse, Bambigassmofo said something during chat when I accidentally pressed when trying to get rid of debug menu with all the information (I pressed F2 instead of F3), as I only use this menu to see where I'm at with my Y-Axis. (Subtitles are not part of the menu, it has its own setting with all the sounds which always stays on, which makes lava pool finding easy).

One last thing, is that nothing appears to be missing in order to tell that there are ores around me. All the texture are normal, I don't use any other resource packs except the default minecraft look.

Also, if you have been checking my log of what I broken (you've probably seen it), but all the ore I was breaking not too long earlier was the silk touched ore I've picked up when mining (I use Silk Touch Pickaxes when mining for compact storage, then place them and break them with a Fortune Pickaxe, take spare ore and sell it to the shop).

I will be looking for your response on one of the staff members banning me with no physical evidence that I was X-raying.
