Hi all,

The last couple of days I have seen signs and heard in chat, ridiculous land claims that really have to be addressed.

It seems that people think that putting signs up and building nothing or starting a build gives them the right to claim multiple biomes!

Cobblestone walls too would appear to be appearing all over the place plastered with signs and gobbling up huge areas! Cheap and not really a build.

Three Players in chat earlier:

Player1: “i need 5421 claim blocks to claim the mountain.”
Player2: “i'm going round my mountain placing signs on cobble fence with a torch saying its claimed”
Player1: “i put signs but the mountains p big ”
Player1 Continued: “and its surrounded by like 3 biomes so no one is going to really look”
Player2: “just wondering if people can still legit build on it because it isn't officially claimed by claim bl”
Player3: “As long as you have something placed there”
Player1: “since you put signs and you built there first”
Player1 Continued: “staff can do their thing with grief and stuff”

So the building of 100 blocks away from a build is offset by placing a sign or cobble wall?!
A sign or cobble wall is not a build!

If this is true then when the server reset, if someone had run around the world border placing signs and built a mud hut in the middle of the World all players would have had to grief to be able to build. Silly example but you get the point.

My base is underground but I can imagine new players are going to be put off if everywhere they go there’s a sign in their face.

Can staff please address this issue as land claims are getting more outlandish by the day.

I'm off to a place with no WiFi for three weeks. Don't reply to this thread because I won't be here to read it, and don't expect me to be on the server to pester with questions like 'Will you build a town?' until August 16th. Great. I feel sooo happy right now, heading off to the hinterlands of Human Existence. East Germany.

Hello ladies and gentlemen of HT. 'Tis I, GingaPower2k. I have come to the forums to announce the opening of RiverTown! I owned RiverTown in the previous world in HT (Before the cleansing of the server) and I had a blast operating it and helping players. Now, as I mine blocks to make some extra dough, I constantly see players asking for a town to live in. So, after a bit of building, I have created the main structure of RiverTown. Be advised, there are currently 0 houses there, but I have a helper helping me begin construction of the houses.
   So as you all know, money is kind of a big issue, as the server economy has reset, and has inflated exponentially. Therefore, items are more expensive than they were in the previous economy. Also, returning players come to find that you start with the balance of 0. The only way to make a bit of dough is by voting and mining blocks that are bought by /warp shop. So, my plan for RiverTown is that I want the houses to be within price range of voting money, or within the area. I want to make housing easy and affordable to players who want to live nearby other players.
   As I said earlier, I do have a single helper that has began construction of RiverTown, but I could always use help. I am willing to hire builders to help construct houses. In order to apply, there is criteria that must be met in order to apply.

 Here are the requirements
-Access to Creative Mode, or an example of a build.
-Have experience in building nice modern homes.
-Enthusiasm and drive to build houses without repeated requests.
-Good mining techniques, as you will need to collect blocks to build.
   If you feel you have met all these requirements, feel free to message me on the game or on the Forums and I will contact you with further info. A reminder, any houses that the builders make will be sold by the builder to keep everything fair.
   Anyways, that wraps up my post about RiverTown. A warp will be set very soon for players to begin reserving houses. Hope to see you all there!

This isn't really a problem, just something to watch out for:

-The area around spawn limits you so that you cannot speak in chat. If you are in this area, you cannot /msg and whenever you speak in chat it is followed by a red message telling you that you need to move away from spawn before chatting. Noone else can see your messages despite them appearing in chat on  your screen. This is a great way to stop spam bots which log Into servers and stand in spawn spamming chat, however it also affects minechat users (and similar apps). The default setting on minechat is to spawn on connecting. If you are like me and don't have a home set yet, go to a warp to chat. Remember that mobs can still kill you, so find a warp that takes you to a well lit indoor area like a shop.

I don't know what if it is my computer or the server, but I can't see the warp names in the new warp list. I have tried to set my MC to fullscreen, but it won't help. The computer is a 15'' MacBook Pro, so it is pretty small.

As you know, The whole entire server was reset last week, causing hundreds of players to lose all money, warps, cities and homes. Everything they worked extremely hard for. For some people this was heartbreaking, so I am hosting a new vote to (if possible) un-reset the SMP server.

I've finished making warp carrot. It's free to use so everyone can get food when they're starving. You can take as much as you want. Just replant.

I join, and for two weeks, myself and my best friend absolutely loved it here on HTMC. 
I had plans to build a huge town of detailed buildings for people to live in (maybe a city), I was working on a god-enchanted item set, had farms going, was making business, the money wasn't hard nor easy to get as some complain about, and will likely yell at me in a comment down below about >.> and everyone was friendly as could be!
Staff were great, building was fun, items were able to be accessed more easily than they are...

Now. 

My money I had grinded hours for; gone
(and everyone else's years of work)
My house I put love into; gone too! <3
(What about people's month-long project mansions? hm?)
all farms, mob grinders, warps, gone
items, god items, gone
special event items and places of memory, poof 

Normally, I'd be okay with starting over, but... Due to life issues, the people I usually hang out with are all gone and one is unable to play MC until they get a new laptop (And their family is poor.) And if there's anything I hate more, it's being alone.

I suggested a fix to a problem that WILL happen again, and staff just.. idk if you are tired or what, but it got ignored and shut down in 10 seconds flat. Have fun listening to the problem be asked again and again. It'll have to be changed eventually. 

Finding land was hard without /rand and all this "essential" stuff, I was lucky because a random person  tpa'd me and I just walked over a hill and said "Here."

All the goodies are already gone, honestly, what with the End being raided, the nether apparently "Might have some quartz somewhere" as quoted, and the overworld only has so much to offer after a while. Not to mention the groups of friends who take over the server and all the goodies, leaving us casual players scratching our heads wondering why they didn't leave us any fun. I'm really disappointed and it's possible I'm just sleep-deprived, bored, annoyed at the loss of friends, crabby, touchy, maybe all the above, I really can't tell by this point. I hope the server stays.. I know a lot of people are actually pissed.. I've watched people join, then leave once they hear about the new change. Stay strong, I'd hate seeing this server die out when things are trying to be fixed.
I don't want to bash anyone, seem like I'm being passive aggressive, or rude to the server itself, but.. god, was all this worth your while for all this pain, people joining and asking the SAME THING over and over, losing all your stuff, etc?

Hey guys,

     Rowe told me to post this here so, here we go. About 2 hours ago, give or take, I tamed 3 wolves and returned home. I gave 2 of them rotten flesh and bred a pup. I fed the pup and had it grow to adult size, then game all 4 dogs a yellow collar. I kept them sitting in my house.

     About an hour ago, I tped home from some mining to find that my "dogs" were still sitting, but for some reason, their eyes were like a wolf's, and they lost their collars. I thought that was odd and tried to feed one and it spawned hearts, but didn't get up when I right-clicked it. So it was not just a graphical bug. I punched one to get it to stand up, because, if it were still a dog, it wouldn't attack me back, right? Wrong. It got red eyes and made the other "sitting" wolves turn against me and nearly killed me- I tped to spawn just in time. I was in a panic on chat for a while, and KatNip had no idea what was going on, maybe a problem with the plugins, and Rowe didn't know, either. Like  I said before, he recommended me to post it here for discussion.

     Currently, I await an answer or solution to this, and am keeping the (now non-hostile) wolves in my house, as I am out of bones, and cannot re-tame them. I also don't want to go through their reversion again. Also, please know that there are many users with dogs playing, and I hope they don't make the same near-fatal mistake I did. So please, if you have any idea on what's going on, please help me out. Thank you!
