Is there any way to stop a hostile mob from despawning? I built a cage for a ghast, and hatched a ghast egg inside it. But next time I checked, he had despawned. So then I tried naming the egg on my anvil before hatching it, but that one despawned too.

I've seen caged withers at some shops. How do they do that?

Welcome to the first Build Comp of the year!

I'm Anonymouse. and its Groundhogs day today, And I bring you a Build comp.
In this Competition, you will be building five houses. whether it be in the water, on the water, or in a forest biome. All five of these houses must have the SAME theme. The theme that you use, is up to you.
The Judges: Rayvenz, Shisuan, and . . . We still need another judge. . .
The Judges will be judging the five houses on these three things:

Creativity
Artisticness
Planning
Interior Design

The Rules:
You CAN work with other players!
All 5 houses have to be the same theme
No Schematica or Ghost blueprints
No Copying other's builds.
No Bribing the Judges.
No Basements
No Redstone.
All Houses must be at the designated "Area"

The Winner will get 15k! Contest ends on March 11th. 12EST

Reason for your ban: I was exploring a strange fortress in the nether and found some beacons there, never seen these things before, figured they were part of the fortress, so I took them out of the nether. Then a mod tped me back and asked me where they were. I told them the honest truth and they instantly banned me. I'm very new to the game so I honestly didn't know I had done something wrong.

Why should you be unbanned: I feel like this was just a simple accident. 

Why do you want to come back: I've really enjoyed building a base on the server, and had my first experiences with the game there. I'd also like to correct my mistake. I'm also not sure if I'm quoting the right server name btw.

Reason for your ban: Mass griefing, theft

Why should you be unbanned: I realise that destroying somebody else's hard work for my own gain is not acceptable and that boredom is not an excuse. I'm not sure how long the ban is but understand if it is permanent. Putting myself in the shoes of the player I stole from, this would be both upsetting and frustrating. I regret my actions and would very much like a second chance. To my recollection I threw away everything that was stolen.

Why do you want to come back:  I have good friends that frequent this server and would very much like to play together again. Having made a forum account I can see that there is a solid community, and I'd greatly appreciate another chance to be a part of it.

Im happy whit being baned but i want to know why i was banned whit proof to back it up. If not then the ban fails on the botom.

Hey Hometown, Its ya boi Naut here. I've been a player on this server for almost 8 months now, and its been a crazy ride. My change as a person was a definitely noticeable (and I'm sure a welcome one at that) and its just weird to me that I've been able to look back in hindsight and realize "Wow, that was then this is now". That being said, things in life go on and I also need to move on. Life is just crazy and there's too much on my plate at the moment. I'm not sure when I will return if I ever decide to, so if anything, lets call it a hiatus. I love each and every single one of you and I'm so glad I got to experience the community <3

Why should you be unbanned: I should be unbanned because i was banned for a mistake i foolishly made a long time ago, instead of following the rules i made the mistake to cheat and use x ray for diamonds...i miss playing with my friends and want to have fun with them again, I've matured over the months i was banned and learned my lesson to not use cheats. It was a mistake i regret doing and would love to join back the server to support it.

Why do you want to come back: I want to come back to be apart of the community again, playing on this server was fun because i have multiple friends who still play on the server. I want to come back and even donate to the server to get ranks and items since i dont have anything anymore and can help support the server. I miss hanging out and building towns with the friends i have there. I'm sorry i broke the rules but i promise that will never happen again.

Why should you be unbanned: okay so let me just explain this    i have been playing minecraft for a few weeks, my girlfriend really likes this game and was like, "hey come play on this server i played forever on this server". So yeah, i check out this hometown server, i'm having fun, it takes forever mining blocks, everything... you all know how it is.
i'm trying out a bunch of warps, i dont have a clue which one i tried but i end up on this platform with a few diamond blocks placed in like a square, me being a noob, i was like "hey let me see if i can break these "  so yeah, i break one and then i'm like oh shit... do i get in trouble for this?? so i think to myself... if i replace it with a cobblestone maybe they wont notice... but then i notice there is only one block of diamond missing, so everyone would notice that.. so me being a freshy/noob i decide to punch out all the diamond blocks and replace them with cobblestone, hoping nobody would notice   i didnt need the diamonds, hell i didnt even use them for anything, i probably dumped them in a chest in my house somewhere... 
so anyway, long story short, i try to hide my one block crime, and i end up destroying about 10 blocks or so? i think. and now my girlfriend is going to kill me in real life if she finds out. so an unblock would be appreciated and i wont do it again

Why do you want to come back: because its a fun server with helpfull people and i dont want to die when my girl finds out ive been banned. thank you for considering (i will even give them back if that helps, or delete them from my inventory, i have no idea how this stuff works)
